CONGRATULATIONS to Huckleberry’s incredible Marin County health education team on being selected to present at the National School-Based Health Conference hosted by the School-Based Health Alliance in Washington, D.C. earlier this month.
Their workshop, “Fostering Inclusive Care: Centering Queer Youth in Sexual & Reproductive Health,” was attended by more than 50 participants including program administrators, healthcare professionals, policy leaders, and youth leaders.
With a focus on addressing the unique needs of queer youth within healthcare settings, the workshop provides crucial insights and practical strategies for health educators, clinic staff, and healthcare practitioners.
The team applied to participate and their workshop was selected under the “Innovations” category, highlighting its forward-thinking approach to enhancing healthcare accessibility and quality for queer youth.
Huckleberry is so proud of this team and their contribution to the conference’s mission of advancing health equity and fostering partnerships across diverse communities.
