TITLE: Human Resources Specialist

SUPERVISOR: Director of Development/Human Resources
SALARY: $40,000-$50,000 (Negotiable)
ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW:
Huckleberry Youth Programs (HYP) serves adolescents and their families in San Francisco and Marin. HYP’s mission is “to educate, inspire, and support underserved youth to develop healthy life choices, to maximize their potential, and to realize their dreams.” HYP is not only a great place to work, but also offers benefits that include Medical, Dental, Life, Long Term Disability and Vision. Medical and Dental premiums paid at 100% for employee and 50% for dependents by the agency. Three (3) weeks of vacation accrue during the first year of employment and increases thereafter. The agency employs approximately 50 full-time and 20 part-time staff and operates on a $4 million annual budget. HYP’s employees, other than managers and administrative staff, are represented by a union, Local 1021 of SEIU. The agency is known as one of the best non-profits in the Bay Area.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary responsibility of this position is to coordinate, execute, and maintain a variety of HR procedures and activities, under the supervision of the Director of Development/Human Resources. The position will also provide support to the administrative office, as needed.
